St. Mary’s Tejaswini School
St. Mary's Tejaswini School, a completely free, English medium (night) school was established in 2004, as a result of the management's realization that there were hundreds of children in the neighboring areas of Vashi and between the ages of 5 and 14, who were unable to attend any school to receive a proper formal education. Utilizing the existing infrastructure and other school facilities which we had already been providing to our regular school's children for many years, we were able to make this night school a reality, where even such children are given a fair chance to receive education.
On 7th June 2004, H. G. Geevarghese Mar Coorilos Metropolitan, the President of M.O.C.C.B, inaugurated the activities of the night school in the presence of the 54 students who took admission in Std I and their parents. In June 2005, the second batch of 60 students and in June 2006 the third batch of 65 students were admitted to Std I. Now we have 382 students from Std I to Std. X. The school is providing them complete free education including transport, uniform, books & snacks. A special mention and much gratitude to Rev. Fr. T. E. Issac, who took initiative to start this school.
